Feb 26th 2011 - Private Party - Malmesbury
We started the year paying tribute to the life of Paul Dove. The organisers did a great job not only celebrating Paul's life, but also in raising some much needed cash for charity. The Monks played some regular rock covers, but also took the opportunity to introduce new band members Lisa and Mike, and a few new tunes! 2011 is looking and sounding good!!
April 30th 2011 - Wedding
Kings Arms in Malmesbury- first trip to the Kings arms in the Ball room
Thanks again for a good night and for inviting me along, Lisa and Steve make the band sound even better and I expect you are pleased with how things are going in a short time, Lisa really enjoys going into the audience!
May 7th 2011 - BCB Bike Show - Bristol
The Monks put in an appearance at the BCB Bike Show from mid-day. It was a good afternoon surrounded by bikes and great people, with your favourite covers band providing the soundtrack - in the sunshine!

Many thanks from all of the organisers of the BCB Bike Show. Positive feedback from a wide range of people to our set and performance.
The event did manage to raise around £500 for freewheelers, so very worthwhile
June 18th The Barrel Thornbury
Monks are scheduled to play here later in the year but have taken cancellation to get out and play! No Mike on backing vocals and second guitar but Im sure a great night will be had by all!

July 2nd 2011 - Swiss Chalet - Swindon
This will be our first visit to the grand metropolis of Swindon for some time, and will give Lisa an opportunity to perform in her home town. Come and enjoy the noise!

I just wanted to thank you and your band for a great night. The two new additions were really good, as you all were, thank you again.
August 27th - Malmesbury Carnival
St Marys Hall. Usual monking about; a few tunes and a beer - all for a good cause.
We will also have a backing band..."Night Shift" which is Graham's ( virtual Monk) new band. Looking forward to giving them a listen!
Interesting as we had a sick mini monk so Graham filled in both shifts!
August 29th - Malmesbury Carnival
Cloister gardens 45mins of the Monks at the Abbey..... monks and an abbey "cummon!"
Full afternoon of music with Monkage around 7.30pm
October 15th 2011-The Barrel Thornbury
Cancelled till 2012..we love this place and plan to be on thegig list next year.
October 29th 2011- Buthay Inn Wickwar
Cancelled due to Management changes at the Venue
